Car-Talk

Its actually a radio show that I came to know about. Its hosted by two brothers Tom and Ray and its a very hilarious show. It is a talk-show and they have people who call up the radio-station to speak with Tom and Ray about the problems they are having with their car. These guys would then go on to make lot of fun of the caller (and sometimes of each other as well)and also offer pretty good advice. This show has been running since last 20 years. I downloaded a podcast this week and heard the show for the first time.... and its too good. Click on the image above and check out their website.

Spring-Leaves

Well.... This is my very first attempt at blogging. I created this account last Sunday but was wondering what do I put up here... And now today I felt to give it a shot anyway and see how it turns out.

This blog is about... well.... why don't you just read and find out what it is. I can just say that the title is misleading and it is intentionally kept that way...

I have seen this tendency in myself that sometimes when I am feeling low (and we all feel low at one point or the other)... I might just observe a small incident and suddenly find that my mind (which had got clouded with doubt, negativity, confusion etc) fires away all the negative in a flash.... all the negative thoughts are gone.....totally! The event which drove my mind to fire away the negativity can be totally irrelevant to the things that caused the negative-state to arise in first place.... but that event triggers of something and in a flash I am back to my normal positive self.

It kind of amazes me and always makes me realize that it is in our nature that at times we tend to get entangled in our thoughts way too much... the mind wanders here and there and without realizing we get ourselves in the middle of a slow whirlpool....

A quote from one of my favorite movies "Fight Club" (Brad Pitt): "....the ability to let that which does not matter truly slide". Life would be a lot simpler if I could just train my mind to remember that always and practice it too.
